Spend a night in a Karen hill tribe village on this Chiang Mai trek to the Huaynamdung area. Really get to see the hotspring,waterfall and hill tribe ways as well as getting to know your fellow trekkers a whole lot better! Also get the chance to ride an elephant and take on the Bam boo raft on the Mae Tang River.  This is an excellent trip to sample what Northern Thailand has to offer and a great opportunity to overnight in a real Karen hill tribe village.

TOUR DESCRIPTION

 

Day 1
You
 will be collected from your Chiang mai hotel or guest house and we will proceed to drive towards the Huaynamdung area. On route we will stop by at the local market where our guide will buy some fresh supplies for the trip into the hills. Before embarking on the trek we will see waterfall (Mok pha) we will take swimming and lunch near the waterfall.After lunch drive further to the hotspring  and then commence the first leg of the trek which is a good 3 hour hike up challenging trails to a picturesque Karen village situated on a mountain top. The Karen village will be the 
destination for the night where you can spend late afternoon and evening in the village and kick back and relax after the days trek. Your guide will prepare your evening meal and you can spend the rest of the evening relaxing with your fellow trekkers over a few drinkswill be collected from your Chiang mai hotel or guest house and we will proceed to drive towards the Mae Tang area. On route we will stop by at the local market where our guide will buy some fresh
 
Day 2
Breakfast will be had in the village before we embark on the second days trekking. About a 2 hours trek will bring us to anorther karen village. where we can picturesque bautiful forested scenic area. About a 1.5 hour  In the afternoon trek towards the elephant camp. Then take our lunch at this attractive spot. After lunch we will ride elephants through forested scenic trails for about 1 hour. After the elephant ride we continue to walk through the jungle, and foothills of the areas inhabited by the hill tribes to the Lahu village where we will spend the night and we will enjoy the magic of the Jungle in the evening.


Day 3
The mornings up in the hills are refreshingly cool which you will appreciate before.  Breakfast will be had at the bamboo camp before we embark on the mornings trek towards the river. On arrival at the river  before your are briefed for the bamboo rafting trip down river. You will get to raft around 2-3 hours of some great rapids (the best an biggest rapids can usually be found in the wetter months between may and November) but the rafting is still fun all year round.The end of the Bamboo raft to the Shan village where you can have lunch and relax while the great scenery passes you by or feel free  Our day will finish  in the beautiful Mae tang River valley before boarding the transport for the drive back to Chiang Mai.

Day 2

Day 3
• After breakfast trek to rafting camp. 
• Bamboo raft the Mae Tang River approx. 2 hours
• Shan village
